Policies at A Time to Dance

Make Up Class

At A Time to Dance, we understand that unexpected circumstances may arise that prevent students from attending their scheduled classes. To ensure that students do not miss out on valuable instruction time, we offer make-up classes for absences or snow days. Please note that make-up classes may be taken in a different dance style. To schedule a make-up class, you must call our office in advance to ensure availability and appropriateness.

Snow Closings

In the event of inclement weather, A Time to Dance may close for the day to ensure the safety of our students and staff. To stay informed of snow closings, we will send an email.

General Information

Good attendance is imperative for individual student progress and class cohesion. Please ensure that your child attends class every week and is on time. Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class. Parents and siblings are not allowed in the class.

Dance Attire

Proper dance attire is required for all classes at A Time to Dance. All students are required to wear;
- Ballet - Pink or black leotard/bodysuit with pink or black tights and pink ballet shoes
- Hip Hop/Jazz - Any color leotard/bodysuit with or without tights, leggings, bike shorts, tank top, and tan jazz shoes
- Lyrical - Any color leotard/bodysuit with or without tights, leggings, bike shorts, tank top, and tan pirouettes
- Tap - Any color leotard/bodysuit with or without tights, leggings, bike shorts, tank top, and black tap shoes
- Musical Theater - Comfortable clothing or dance attire, tan Jazz shoes

ALL DANCERS MUST HAVE THE PROPER DANCE SHOES, DANCE-WEAR, AND HAIR PULLED BACK FROM THE FACE.
NO BAGGY CLOTHES OR SWEATSHIRTS ALLOWED WHILE DANCING.

General Rules

To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, please note the following general rules:

Students must wait inside the building to be picked up

No student under the age of 13 is permitted to leave the building without an adult

We are not responsible for unsupervised children

No gum chewing is allowed in class

No street shoes are allowed in the dance room

All students must be in proper dress code while attending class

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to be prepared to begin on time

Please keep the area as clean and quiet as possible.
